About Us.

Burch & Associates began as The Law Firm of Burch & Delgado over 35 years ago, back in 1978. This occurred after a chance meeting between Honorable Clarence L. Burch and the Honorable David Delgado (retired) in the stacks of the law library at the Richard Daley Building in downtown Chicago. The first office was located on the 25th floor at 100 N LaSalle in the heart of The Loop. In 1990, the partners made a mutual decision to move the firm was moved to Hon. Delgado’s childhood neighborhood in Humboldt Park. The purpose of this concerted effort was to be better situated and more accessible to the community that they served.

The firm always focused on litigation with Hon. Clarence L. Burch spending more than 27 years of practice in the area of complex criminal litigation. Attorney Clarence Burch successfully tried numerous of death penalty cases, having had clients found not guilty and no client’s sentenced to death. In 2007, he was the lead attorney of the Brown’s Chicken Murder trial where he successfully spared his client’s life--the death penalty was not imposed.

Besides running a successful real estate practice, the Hon. David Delgado also worked with major US corporations, throughout North and South America, during his legal career. He became a Cook County judge in 1996. Judge Delgado sat in the Domestic Relations section of the Cook County Court over 10 years. He is currently an “of counsel” attorney for Burch & Associates, selectively representing clients in complex family law matters.

The current form of Burch & Associates began in 2009 when Clarence L. Burch left the firm to become a Cook County Judge. Anthony Burch concentrates on criminal litigation, having experience and jury trials in both state and federal court systems.

Recognizing that every client is uniquely situated, Burch & Associates customizes its approach to the specific needs of each client. With a well-founded reputation of successful litigation, we aim to resolve cases through settlement and negotiations, to the benefit of our clients.
